Paul Rodriguez has been at the front of Nike SB since day one. Over twenty years, ten signature models, and countless clips later, the first SB signature athlete is taking a well-earned victory lap. For the 20th anniversary, Nike SB is bringing back the shoe that kicked it all off: the P-Rod 1 Zoom Air Low.
Back to 2005
The P-Rod 1 returns as a one-to-one remake of the original, this time in the classic “Bred” colorway. Premium suede and nubuck, a mesh tongue, perforated Varsity Red Swoosh, and those signature patterned sidewalls wrap around the heel. Rounded toe box. Cup-sole build. Grippy black out-sole. The flick and feel are exactly how they were drawn up in ’05.
Updated Where It Counts
While the look stays true, the ride gets a modern tweak. A rubber outsole with an impact plate for cushioning, Air Zoom tech for quick response, and a slimmer fit with metallic details. An exposed Air unit at the heel and a translucent rubber sole seal the deal.
